SUCCESS FOR BDO YOUTH IN
CENTRAL SCOTLAND OPEN
 |
16
year-old RICHIE GEORGE – youngest son of Bobby George - won the
Central Scotland Open Under-21 event, played at Sauchie Hall, Alloa
over Easter Weekend, when he beat Scotland’s Scott Campbell 3-2
in a keenly contested final between the two talented
youngsters.
Scott has recently been named in the Scotland team for the WDF Europe
Cup Youth tournament to be played in Bremen, Germany from July 13 to
16, and the win
means that Richie is
following in the footsteps of
Stephen Bunting,
another highly talented BDO
youngsters, who won
the inaugural event in
2005.
A darts player
since he was a toddler,
Richie is currently
playing for Essex Youth and his consistency has kept him top, or near
the top of the under-18’s averages all
season.
