  Virginia Beach Darts Classic 2009 - Wins for Brad and Robin

Brad Wethington, USA, and Robin Curry, Canada take the singles titles at this years Virginia Beach Darts Classic.

 

Brad won the final from fellow countryman Lito Moises, and Robin defeated American Paula Murphy in the ladies event.

  Isle of Man Open 2009 - wins for darryl Fitton and Julie Gore


We do not have all the full results as yet but we can tell you that Darryl Fitton has won the mens singles in Douglas, Isle of Man, and Julie Gore retained her ladies title.

 

Darryl won from Martin Adams in the semi final before beating Lakeside World Champion Ted Hankey in the final. To reach the final Ted had earlier beaten Scott Waites in his semi final.

 

Julie survived a scare in the semis beating Irina Armstrong 3 - 2 before beating Englands Lisa Ashton in the final. Lisa had earlier beaten Scotlands Francis Lawson in the other semi final.

 

To complete the weekend Tony O`Shea and Irina Armstrong kept their unbeaten run going winning the mixed couples, Jan Robbins and Karen ten Kate won the ladies pairs, and in the mens pairs Stuart Kellet and Mal Barrow took the honours.

  DFA Australian Grand Prix

BDO Invitational Points and $100,000 in Prize Money for DFA Major Events

 

BDO Invitational Points have been awarded to seven DFA events that will carry in excess of $100,000 in prize money and rewards available to DFA and WDF players in the space of eight months from April to November 2009.

A new tournament has been added to the WDF calendar. The Scottish Classic will take place in October and will be a category 2 tournament. Exact details will be published for entry etc. as and when we receive them.

The entry details are now available for the Virginia Beach Dart Classic ( March 27 - 29 ) and the USA Darts Classic ( August 7 - 9 ) and can be found by going to the calendar on the menu above.

The lates news from Finland is that Tricia Wright has made it two wins in two weekends with a 4- 2 defeat of Kirsi Viinikainen.
