WINMAU WORLD MASTERS 2006: VAN GERWEN AND HOENSELAAR ARE THE WORLD MASTERS

WINMAU WORLD MASTERS 2006

17 year old Michael van Gerwen produced an exceptional comeback to take the Mens title at Bridlington yesterday. England Captain Martin Adams held a 5 sets to 2 lead and looked a certain winner but "Mighty Mike" had other ideas. He reeled off 5 straight sets to become the youngest World Master of all time.

Francisca Hoenselaar produced a vintage display against compatriot Karin Krappen to record an exciting win in an excellent match which needed a tie-break leg before Francisca could regain the title she had previously won in 1999.
