2021 WDF World Masters, plus Lakeside Qualifiers and World Open

The World Darts Federation and Nederlandse Darts Bond are happy to announce further details for the WDF World Masters, staged at the Bonte Wever in Assen from Thursday 2nd December. The new World Open has been introduced to what is sure to be a fiveday festival of darts, with the Lakeside WDF World Championship qualification tournament taking place on Monday 6th December.

The 'Silver' graded World Open will be the last WDF ranked open event before the end of season cut off. An exciting finale is now guaranteed for all those involved in the WDF World Masters and the race to reach January's Lakeside World Championships.

Following the completion of the WDF World Masters, the Lakeside Men's and Women's invitation list will be finalised. The World Championship qualifying competition can then take place, with the opportunity for 4 Men and 2 Women to win their ticket to the 'Home of World Darts', the Lakeside.

The following cut off dates have been set for WDF World Masters qualification:

Monday 4th October 2021 is the initial cut-off date based on any of the qualification criteria (so as to confirm those players that have already qualified and to enable member countries the opportunity to arrange/confirm their own additional qualifiers if required).

Monday 1st November 2021 is the date by which member nations should submit their invitations (unless an extension for qualifiers/selection has been requested and authorised by the WDF).

Monday 29th November 2021 is the final cut-off date, via the WDF rankings tables and tournaments (should any new players qualify via the final ranking tables/tournaments within that Oct/Nov period, they will be given the option to defer their World Masters invitation to 2022).

World Masters qualifiers will be contacted directly by the World Darts Federation or their National organisation.
