Changes to the WDF Ranking System for 2024

12 December 2023

Following the conclusion of the 2023 CT1 WDF Lakeside World Championships, the WDF can confirm changes to the WDF ranking system for 2024.

At the WDF General Meeting in September 2023, it was agreed with the WDF Member Countries that the WDF Main Ranking Tables will carry the best fifteen achievements by Men and Women players across all WDF Ranked Tournaments for the 2023/24 season, (increased from ten).

In addition, the 2023/24 WDF Regional Tables will carry the best 12 points achievements by players rather than the previous eight best achievements.

From 2025, the system will return to one-year main and regional ranking tables carrying the best ten achievements on the Main Tables and the best eight achievements on the Regional Tables.

WDF Secretary-General Nick Rolls said: "We initially switched to two-year ranking tables to accommodate the date change for the WDF World Championship to December.

"Making these changes for 2024 are the final steps in us getting back to a normal annual pattern and it was great to have the WDF Member Countries so onboard with these proposed changes when they were presented at the World Cup in Denmark."

Deta Hedman, Players Representative on the WDF Executive, added: "The changes to the ranking tables in 2024 are there to reward the players that travel around the circuit and support the WDF system.

"They will also benefit our Member Countries and the strength of the entry lists for their tournaments, as every point will count more than ever in the race to the 2024 WDF World Championships at Lakeside."
