Ben Robb and Nicole Regnaud regained the North Island Masters titles this past weekend as the WDF tour returned to New Zealand for the Bronze-ranked tournament.
Robb, a Pairs Gold Medallist at last year's WDF World Cup, had lost in the final of last month's South Island Masters but was back to his best in Hastings.
Having come through the group stages, Robb accounted for Martin Black, Anthony Benitez and Harley Smith to reach the final. There, he had too much for 2023 Lakeside quarter-finalist Jonny Tata as he ran out a 5-2 winner.
In the Women's Masters, Nicole Regnaud proved the class of the field as she secured her second WDF ranking title of 2024.
After beating Jadine Black in the Last 16, Regnaud recorded comfortable victories over Amelia Watt and Desi Mercer to set up a final meeting with fellow Kiwi international Wendy Harper.
Harper was the reigning North Island Masters champion but was ultimately second-best to Regnaud this year, with the 24-year-old sealing a 5-2 win with a brilliant 141 finish.
The 2024 North Island Masters Boys title was won by Apanui Kaiwai.
The 15-year-old claimed his first WDF Boys title after pipping Moeroa Rota 5-4 in a dramatic final.
The Girls Masters title, meanwhile, went the way of Aaliyah Taukamo-Pohio.
The 14-year-old, who also reached the Last 16 of the Women's Masters, won the Girls event in Hastings for the second time after defeating Cainea Waerea 4-3 in the final.
