WDF World Cup 2011 Womens Pairs Finals

The womens pairs finals was a best of 11 match between Trina Gulliver and Deta Hedman of England and Karin Krappen and Francis Hoenselaar of the Netherlands. 

England came out strong in the 1st leg with Hedman hitting the first 180 of the match.  However, England missed some shots at the out and the Netherlands took advantage and the leg in 24 darts.  Krappen hit the out in leg 2 for a 20 to take a 2-0 lead over England.

England took the 3rd but the Netherlands took game 4 to regain a 2 leg lead.  In the 5th leg, Netherlands started strong with 140, 100.  With England sitting on 36, Hoenselaar hit the out for a commanding 4-1 lead.

In the 6th leg, both teams had multiple shots at the double.  Gulliver was the one to come through with the leg win for England.  Gulliver then started the 7th leg with a 140 and with Gulliver hitting the double again, England brought the match within 1 leg with a 21 dart leg.

England had a 16 dart leg in the 8th and squared the match 4 all.  In the 9th leg, the Netherlands had 1 dart at the double, but it was Gulliver again hitting the double to give England 4 legs in a row and their first lead of the match.

In the 10th leg, England went 100, 140, 140 and just missed the 50 for a 12 dart game.  Hoenselaar too advantage and took out 118 to send the match into the final leg.

England won the bull to start the 11th and deciding leg.  With the Netherlands sitting on 60, Hedman hit double 7 to win WDF World Cup 2011 Womens Pairs Championships.
