WDF World Masters to return this October

Last July, the World Darts Federation stated that the World Masters would return in 2024. Today, we are delighted to fulfil that promise and announce that the iconic event will be back on the darting calendar later this year.

The 2024 edition of the World Masters will be held in Europe and will take place from Wednesday, October 9th through Sunday, October 13th. Further information on the host city, venue, prize fund, and how to enter will be released on or before Friday 31 May.

Ahead of the tournament's return, the WDF have updated the World Masters Qualification Criteria - you can read these on our Rules page

Full lists of those players who have already qualified for the 2024 World Masters have been assembled and are available to view now:

In addition to the World Masters, the weekend of action will also include a second ranked event in the shape of the World Open and qualifiers for all four 2024 WDF Lakeside World Championship tournaments - Men, Women, Boys and Girls.

WDF Secretary General Nick Rolls said: "I've always known how vital the World Masters is to all of our Member Countries and the players but its importance hit home at last year's World Cup in Denmark with representatives of our Member Countries asking us to ensure we delivered in 2024.

"The entire WDF Commercial team and I have been working tirelessly to get the World Masters back on the calendar and to do it in the same logistically and financially sensible way as we have done with the World Championships at Lakeside. The setup we've got for 2024 is the first step to us achieving that goal.

"We know that everyone would like all of the details now and we'd love to share them, but there are good reasons for not being able to share at the moment. Equally, we know how important it is for our Member Countries and of course all of our players to know that the World Masters is going ahead and the dates, so we've taken the opportunity to make this very positive announcement and we can't wait to share more information with everyone in a few weeks!"
