2022 WDF Winmau World Masters

Thursday 8 – Monday 12 December 2022

The 2022 WDF Winmau World Masters, the WDF World Open, the 2023 WDF World Championship Qualifiers and the 2022 World ParaDarts World Masters will also take place across the five days, ensuring an exciting festival of darts for players from across the world! at the Bonte Wever in Assen, Netherlands.

310 men, 199 women, 92 boys and 34 girls have entered the race to be crowned as a Winmau World Master and share over €50,000 prize money with many also entering the WDF World Open which carries prize money of over €8,000 and the World Championship qualifiers, where four men, two women, four boys and two girls will qualify to play in the 2023 World Championships.

Here you will find some supplementary/specific rules concerning the 2022 Winmau World Masters, WDF World Open and the WDF World Championship Qualifiers. If not mentioned in this document the General WDF Rules apply. These rules can be found on the website of the WDF.

Should any player have a receipt for a tournament they have entered but they do not appear on the entry list for that tournament, please contact WDFTournaments@ndbdarts.nl.

Players are reminded that they must register to play in each tournament at the venue at the times detailed in Schedule (see below).

The WDF look forward to seeing everyone in Assen, with the action kicking off on Thursday with round-robin action in the Women's World Masters.

Further Information

  • Players will only be seeded at the start of each tournament.
  • Seedings will be taken from the WDF Main Ranking Table as of Wednesday 30 November in line with WDF rules.
  • The seeding of the World Masters depends on number of registrations:
  • Eight groups = eight seeded players
  • Sixteen groups = sixteen seeded players
  • Thirty-two groups = thirty-two seeded players
  • Sixty-four groups or more = sixty-four seeded players
  • The Round Robin groups for the World Masters will consist of 4 or 5 players per group OR depending on the number of entries may consist of 5 or 6 players.
  • In Groups of 4 or 5 players, all matches from a group will be played on one board
  • In Groups of 6 players, matches will be played across two boards
  • Players in each group will be assigned to mark specific matches. It will be each players responsibility to mark or to find a person to mark on their behalf
  • Should any player not complete all of their Round Robin matches, all of that player’s matches will be removed from the Round Robin Group results table
  • The top two players from each group will progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.
