The World Darts Federation and Nederlandse Darts Bond are happy to announce initial details for the WDF World Masters, to be hosted at the Bonte Wever in Assen from Thursday 8 December.
In addition to the WDF World Masters, the new WDF World Open, the 2023 WDF World Championship Qualifiers and the 2022 World ParaDarts World Masters will also take place across the five days, ensuring an exciting festival of darts for players from across the world!

As detailed in the Qualification Criteria documents, many players have already qualified for the 2022 WDF World Masters. A full list of the players that have already qualified can be found using the links below:
All Men and Women will start the tournament in the first-round group stage on Thursday 8 December. Group sizes will be determined by the total number of registered entries prior to the draw.
There will be 64 seeded players in both the Men’s and Women’s WDF World Masters. Seedings will be based on the main WDF World Ranking Tables on Monday 28 November.
The top two players in each group shall progress to the knockout stages
All Boys and Girls must be under the age of 18 on Sunday 11 December.
All Boys and Girls will start the tournament in the first-round group stage on Saturday 10 December. Group sizes will be determined by the total number of registered entries prior to the draw.
There will be 16 seeded players in both the Boys and Girls WDF World Masters. Seedings will be based on the main WDF World Ranking Tables on Monday 28 November.

The new Silver graded WDF World Open tournaments will be open to anyone that wishes to enter.
For Men and Women, these tournaments will be the last WDF Ranked Open tournaments before the end of season cut off and will ensure an exciting finale in the race to secure a place at the 2023 WDF World Championships through the WDF Ranking tables.
The Boys and Girls WDF World Open tournaments will take place on Friday 9 December whilst the Men’s and Women’s tournaments will take place on ether Saturday 10 or Sunday 11 December.
Following the completion of the WDF World Masters, the World Championship Men's and Women's invitation lists will be finalised, which then allows the WDF World Championship qualifying tournament to take place.
The Men’s and Women’s tournaments will be open to anyone that wishes to enter and will be held on Monday 12 December and will give four Men and two Women the opportunity to book their places at the 2023 WDF World Championships.
Any man or woman that enters the 2023 World Championship Qualifiers that secures their place at the 2023 World Championships prior to the qualifying tournaments taking place will have their full entry fee refunded and will not take part in the tournament.
The Men’s and Women’s qualifying tournaments will be completed by 17:00 hours on Monday 12 December.
The Boys and Girls tournaments will be held on Sunday 11 December and will give four Boys and two Girls the opportunity to book their places at the 2023 WDF World Championships.

The World ParaDarts World Masters, for their top-ranking players, will also be held as a part of the World Masters tournament.
