2026 WDF Europe Cup to be held in the Faroe Islands

06 January 2025

Following a recent vote, the WDF are delighted to reveal that the 2026 WDF Europe Cup will be held in the Faroe Islands.

The Faroe Islands are a relatively new member of the WDF, having only made their Europe Cup debut in 2022 and World Cup debut in 2023, but are a well-organised federation that is experiencing rapid growth.

Their impressive bid for the tournament was enough to secure a narrow victory over the Hungarian bid at a recent meeting of our European member countries.

Scheduled to take place between September 29th and October 3rd 2026, the events will be held at the new ViĆ° Tjarnir facility in the capital city, Torshavn.

The first WDF Europe Cup took place in 1978 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the 2026 edition will be the first to be held in Scandinavia since 2008. The most recent Europe Cup, the 2024 edition, was held in Samorin, Slovakia and saw the Gold medals shared between the Netherlands, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.
