The WDF are delighted to confirm that Beau Greaves has accepted her invitation to play in the WDF Lakeside Women's World Championship later this year.
Greaves, who dominated the competition to win her first world title last April, had also qualified to play in this year's PDC World Championship. However, the 19-year-old has decided to return to 'The Home of World Darts' with the intention of defending her title and claiming the £25,000 top prize.
Beau Greaves said: "Winning the World Championship last year was one of the proudest moments in my darting career and I want to defend that title. That's why I've chosen to play at Lakeside.
"I'm still in the early stages of my darting career and having the opportunity to become a multiple-time World Champion is hugely motivating.
"I'm playing well at the moment and I can't wait to get back out on that stage in December."
WDF Secretary General Nick Rolls added: "Everyone is delighted that Beau will be back at Lakeside this year.
"We can't wait to see Beau and the 23 other players that have qualified for Lakeside battling out for a top prize of £25,000 that remains the highest in the Women's game."
