Darts Tournament Results – Results Day 2 Dutch Open Darts, part two

De Graaf reaches final, defending champion McGeeney to last 64

On the second day of the Dutch Open Darts, the singles competitions for the men and women were played. Like last year, a lot of people came to Assen to be present at the biggest darts tournament in the world. A great number of 3243 men played on Saturday in the Dutch Open Darts. 64 of them will return on the finals day on Sunday.

Some big names were eliminated early, like Wesley Harms and Martin Adams. We see a lot of other famous faces like Scott Mitchell, Andy Fordham, Scott Waites, Richard Veenstra and Glen Durrant return on Sunday. The defending champion, Mark McGeeney, also reached the last 64.

The two finalists of the Dutch Open Darts women are Deta Hedman and Aileen de Graaf who won her semi-final convincingly. She defeated Deana Rosenblom 4-1 and is in the final. Deta won her semi-final against Sharon Prins with 4-1. Lakeside champion Lisa Ashton surprisingly lost at the last 128 to Anne Dorrestijn.

The first ever paradarts tournament at the Dutch Open Darts was played. 32 players competed for the first place in that tournament. Vincent D’hondt became the winner, he defeated Serge van Belle in the final with 4-0.

The rest of the men’s tournament and the final of the women’s tournament will take place on Sunday, as well as the Dutch Open Youth. The finals of the tournaments can be followed live tomorrow via RTV Drenthe and the stream of Winmau TV.
