Gyorgy Jehirszki and Veronika Ihasz claimed the senior titles as Hungary played host to their first WDF competition of the year with the Season Opening Darts Open.
Gyurka shows class to claim maiden WDF title
Jehirszki, the best-performing Hungarian man at last year's World Masters, has been coming closer to a first WDF title in recent times and delivered in Budapest.
Having raced through the early stages of the competition, the 41-year-old saw off Nicolaj Bovan and Daniel Attila Juhasz to reach the semi-finals.
There, he produced a 161 finish to wrap up a 4-2 victory over Czech player Jiri Brejcha that saw him record three 180s and a 90+ average.
Facing 'Gyurka' in the final was Dominik Glaser, who too was looking for his first WDF title. Glaser took the opening leg before Jehirszki moved into the ascendancy, winning five on the spin to take it 5-1 with an 87.29 average.

Ihasz returns to winners' circle with last-leg title triumph
Veronika Ihasz hadn't tasted title success on the WDF circuit in 14 months before this event on home soil but she found good form to return to the winners' circle.
Ihasz raced into the final without dropping a leg, defeating Slovakia's Nina Staskova in the quarter-finals and then seeing off former Youth standout Tamara Kovacs in the semis.
That set up a final with top seed Greta Tekauer, who was looking for her eighth WDF title in the last 12 months.
Ihasz won the bull for the final and that proved crucial, as all seven legs went with throw, with Ihasz getting over the line 4-3 with a 67.63 average.

Super Sepsi finds big finish to win Boys' title
Just like Veronika Ihasz, Adam Sepsi ended a title drought at the Season Opening Darts Open.
The 17-year-old hadn't won a Boys' title on the WDF circuit in 18 months or so but made good in Budapest with a last-leg victory over Peter Szoke.
The final was a close, competitive affair that was decided by a moment of brilliance, Sepsi pinning a 110 finish on double 18 to triumph 4-3 with an average just north of 74.
Turai takes title tally to 11
2023 WDF Girls' World Championship Krisztina Turai claimed the first title of the day in Budapest, and the 11th of her Youth career, as she won the Girls' event in Budapest.
Having beaten Vivien Fritz-Lovasi in the semi-finals, Turai defeated Vanda Dupcsak 4-2 in the final to take the title.
