She becomes the first ever female darts player to be recognised and honoured in this way and the British Darts Organisation sends its congratulations to a player who has played a major role in creating awareness and success for women’s darts worldwide.
The nine-time Women’s World Professional Darts Champion and England Captain has been awarded
the prestigious honour in recognition of her ‘Services to Darts and Fund Raising’ and will now be formally known as ‘Catrina Elizabeth Gulliver MBE’ – but prefers to be called Trina.
She will collect her MBE from St James Palace on a date yet to be confirmed.
Trina Gulliver was nicknamed ‘The Golden Girl’ in 1999 after winning three gold medals at the World Cup in Durban.
