The WDF can confirm that the Australian Darts Open has been cancelled for 2024.
One of only four Platinum-ranked events on the WDF calendar, the unique format of the Australian Darts Open brought together the best talents from Australia, New Zealand and the top of the WDF rankings.
However, with Darts Australia unable to source sufficient commercial partners to run the tournament to a similar standard in 2024, they have elected to cancel this year's scheduled tournament and instead switch their attention to ensuring the event runs to the WDF calendar in 2025.
Darts Australia will still be hosting a Gold-ranked event in 2024, with two more players set to book their spots at the 2024 WDF Lakeside World Championships when the South Australian Classic returns to Salisbury Park on Sunday, February 25th.
Entries for the 2024 South Australian Classic can be made via the Try Booking website. The deadline for registration is Thursday, February 22nd.
