Lakeside WDF World Championships Tickets - January 2022

Brought to you by the World Darts Federation, the new year will see a welcome return of televised darts to the Lakeside Country Club. Broadcast live across the Eurosport and Discovery+ network from Saturday 1st to Sunday 9th January, we invite you to be part of the WDF World Championships and it's unique atmosphere at "the Home of World Darts, the Lakeside!" Having already hosted 34 World Championships (1986-2019), the iconic Lakeside stage will see 48 men and 24 women compete for the title of 2022 WDF World Champions. In addition, both boys and girls will have the opportunity to lift trophies aloft on a finals day that will see all four WDF World Champions crowned on Sunday 9th January.

The Race to Lakeside - 8 Weeks to Go!

With just 8 weeks to go before the long awaited return to "the Home of World Darts", the Lakeside Country Club, 12 world ranked events are still to be played before the invitation list is finalised for the 2022 WDF World Championships. Following the completion of the season on Saturday 4th December, 44 men and 22 women will have qualified by right via the WDF world rankings tables, the eight regional rankings tables, or by virtue of winning one of the Platinum/Gold graded events. The Lakeside qualification competitions, including the WDF World Youth Championships will take place on Sunday 5th December in Assen, where a further 4 men, 2 women, 4 boys and 2 girls will win their places upon the Lakeside stage.

October 2021 Review – Canada, USA, Hungary, Russia

In addition to the Gold-graded events in Denmark, England and Wales that saw six further players book their spots at the 2022 WDF World Championships, October’s packed schedule also included a further four senior ranking events across three regions, plus two Youth competitions in Russia. Hutchinson and Menzies latest to seal Lakeside ‘Golden Tickets’ at Welsh Open

Cameron Menzies and Kirsty Hutchinson added their names to the list of automatic qualifiers for the 2022 WDF World Championships after winning the Men’s and Women’s Welsh Open in Prestatyn this past weekend. Thibault Tricole doubled his 2021 title tally in the Men’s Welsh Classic, while Beau Greaves found form to defend her title in the Women’s Classic. Andrew Sinclair recaps the action.

Marsh and Sherrock seal Lakeside ‘Golden Tickets’ at 46th British Open

Organised by Tri-Nations Darts for the very first time, the 46th British Open took place in Bridlington this past weekend and provided the latest chance for two players to secure their ‘Golden Ticket’ for the 2022 WDF World Championships. When all was said and done, it was Scott Marsh and Fallon Sherrock who seized the opportunity to qualify directly for Lakeside. Earlier on, Scotland internationals Jim McEwan and Lorraine Hyde both won their maiden ranking titles in the Silver-graded British Classic. Andrew Sinclair recaps the action.
